HAUL+SWATCH: Mac Toledo Collection

Hey lovelies!
This is a really short post on the new Mac Toledo limited edition collection. My inner beauty addict kicked in when I actually woke up early to go check the collection out in store and make sure I don't miss out! (Don't judge me please lol).

So the collection launched sometime last week, but I totally forgot an so missed out on the one thing I realllyyyyy wanted! The lipstick in Oxblood, it's sold out everywhere! So I had to make sure I picked it up in store. Sooo, here are my pretty babies!

I must say, the packaging of this collection is everything! I'm not gonna lie, it's one of the main reasons I really wanted to get my hands on some of the stuff. Surprisingly I actually swatched a few things and fell in love! I had read and watched some reviews online and a lot of people were saying that the pigmentation of the blushes was a let down, but I didn't really find this issue when I swatched them.

Just look at those pretty colours! Perfect for spring and summer!

The only lipstick I wanted and bought was Oxblood, this is a beautiful matte nudey shade & I'm so happy I got it! It's described as a peachy nude, and I think it's exactly that. I really love peach and coral tone lipsticks, but not all of them always look good against my skin tone, times like that I wish I was slightly more tanned so it'll look good :( - but anyways, this shade is perfect it doesn't look wierd on me and is a perfect everyday shade, or one which will look amazing with an intense smokey eye.

Also keep in mind, the rest of my body is super pale compared to my face, and my lips aren't that pigmented, so the swatch on my arm is a lot darker and appears more brick red toned then peachy.. Once applied on my lips it's totally different and true to the description.

I then went ahead an swatched the matching tinted lipglass. It's exactly the same shade as the lipstick but in the form of a shiny lipgloss. I didn't think I'd like this but omg, I had to get it! It wasn't actually something on my list either.

This is perfect when I fancy abit of shine. I go through phases where I dig matte lips and where it constantly, then I go through the same phase with glossy lips. I tired both together and it's so pretty.

I really wanted one of the ombré blushes their super pretty to look at and its basically two blushes in one. You can either mix both tones or use one. I fell in love with Ripe Peach after reading and hearing amazing reviews.

It's described as a coral. It's so beautiful and I can't wait to use this in the warmer seasons. I don't own a orange/coral shade so I'm excited to see how it works out. Swatch wise, I did have to layer the product on about 2/3 times. But I think that's good. I don't like reallllyy pigmented blushers because you can't control the intensity, no matter what brush or technique you use. If you apply to much, even if you may think it's only a little, it's difficult to take it off or lighten up. With a slightly less pigmented blush, you can build up the colour gradually, so won't end up applying so much.

I also got the ombré blush in Azalea Blossom. This is described as a light cool pink. At first I didn't buy this, but I ended up going back and picking it up. It's such a gorgeous yet unique shade. I don't own anything like it in my collection. It's got beautiful lilac/lavender tones to it with the ombré pink coming into it aswell.

*both blushers are £25 EACH
*lipstick is £17
*lipglass is £16

And that's everything I picked up. Hope you enjoyed this post my loves, and hopefully it was somewhat useful and gave you an insight into a few products if your considering buying them. Most things might still be available in stores if not online, so have a look!
